ECO DESIGN/BUILD

BT - Big Timberworks
Every effort was made to use low or no maintenance exterior materials including exposed board-formed concrete, rusted metals, weathered redwood siding, and natural stucco.

Bridger Homestead

Most of all, this client wanted a home that looked like it had always been there and they wanted to make use of benign, experienced materials.

BT answered their call with a completely recycled, energy efficient home using recycled newspaper (cellulose) insulation and uncommon woods and metals. The floor joists came from an old dairy barn, and recycled concrete from busted up sidewalks were incorporated to make creative use of normally wasted materials.

Upon completion, a local old timer stopped buy and commented, “I’m sure glad they fixed up this old place, it was sure going to hell.”
