Sportsman's ParadiseThe owners of this Twin Bridges property were involved in restoring miles of the Ruby River, developing habitat for deer, duck, and other species that had once thrived there. They were drawn to BT due to our experience in the creative use of reclaimed products, especially wood. BT’s preference for local materials is evident throughout the home, which features local stone and handrails created from alder and willows harvested from the property. Major logs in the house are bent in unusual forms not usable for saw logs, adding to the unique beauty of the home. Other reclaimed materials include old #5 trap door handles and grain auger downspouts. The result is a modern home designed to complement, rather than dominate, its natural surroundings. |
